Rafa Cajón

Terms of service

Last updated 22 August 2026.

The short version: this site is free, your recordings are yours and nobody else hears them, Rafa is an AI rather than a person, and we do not promise the feedback is perfect. The rest is detail.

What this is

Rafa Cajón is a free cajón practice site. You can play the exercises, record takes and get feedback back without paying and without creating an account. There is nothing to buy and no subscription. We may add paid features later, and if we do, we will say so here before anybody is charged for anything.

Your recordings

Your takes are yours. We store them privately against your account, use them to produce your feedback and to compare one session with the next, and we do not publish them or let anybody else play them back.

To turn a take into feedback, we measure it ourselves and then send the audio and those measurements to Google’s Gemini model, which writes the coaching. That is the only point at which a recording leaves our systems.

If you want your account and everything in it deleted, write to contact@rafacajon.com and it goes, recordings included.

Rafa is an AI

Rafa is an AI coach, not a person, and nobody is sitting on the other end listening to you play. His feedback is generated, it is sometimes wrong, and it is teaching material rather than professional instruction. Treat it the way you would treat a good book: useful, and not a replacement for your own ears.

Playing safely

Percussion is physical and you can hurt your hands, wrists or hearing by overdoing it. Stop when something hurts rather than when a page tells you to. If you have an injury or a condition that playing might affect, ask a doctor, not us.

What you may not do

  • Republish or resell the exercises, the written parts or the feedback as your own.
  • Scrape the site hard enough to degrade it for anybody else.
  • Upload recordings you do not have the right to upload, or anything that is not you practising.
  • Probe, break or work around the account system.

We can close an account doing any of that, without notice.

Our work, and the music

The exercises, the written cajón parts, the coaching and the design are ours. Practise from them, teach from them in a lesson, quote them with a link back. Do not republish them wholesale.

Where the music on the song pages comes from, why the cajón parts are our own work, and how to ask for something to come down, is set out in full on the rights page.

No warranty

The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be up, that the measurements will be accurate in your room and on your box, or that Rafa is right. It is free, and it is built in the evenings.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that comes out of using the site.

Changes

This page changes as the site does, and the date at the top is the only record of when it last moved. Carrying on using the site after a change means you are fine with it.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the laws of Israel, and any dispute belongs to the courts of Tel Aviv.
